It's Strange Dementia Video

Strange Videos– visualising dementia (2017) Hong Kong

At our 1st Social Innovation Design Lab’s Project: DEMENTIA GOING (2018), we continued to explore how we could enable the public to understand dementia as a culture and not as a loss. Apart from memory loss, citizens with dementia performed strangely because they have a life-limiting illness marked by a gradual deterioration of mental capacities including focus, judgement and the ability to communicate. This is why we created a series of “Strange Videos” that intentionally avoided the symptom of memory loss, in the hope that citizens would pay more attention to all the other symptoms of dementia.
